About

The above self-portrait was painted in 1889 by Dutch post-impressionist Vincent van Gogh. It might have been the last self-portrait that Van Gogh painted. The painting is currently at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

For this NFT collection, this particular portrait has been analyzed and deconstructed. New facial features and attributes have been imagined and hand drawn in the same style as the original oil painting.

Recombining these new features into new and unique art works, results in the portraits of the fictitious Brothers of Vincent. The NFTs themselves present the variations of the self-portrait in a way to convey different emotions, and different elements through striking similarities, yet are all unique, to present Vincent Van Gogh in 1,889 unique variations.
